Introduction

Stella Insights is an AI-enabled insights and intelligence platform designed for the life sciences industry. Stella Insights is a product and service of Leo J. Shapiro and Associates, LLC doing business as Shapiro Raj. In this Privacy Policy, Stella Insights may be referred to as Stella, we, us, or our.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information in connection with the Stella Insights website at stellainsights.ai, our marketing and business development activities, and use of the Stella platform by authorized enterprise users.

Stella is intended for business and professional use. The platform is not intended for consumer use or for the processing of protected health information or directly identifying personal information unless expressly authorized and appropriately governed under applicable law and contract.

Scope of This Policy

  • Platform users who are authorized by an enterprise customer to access and use Stella.

This Privacy Policy does not govern internal employment information of Stella Insights or Shapiro Raj employees. It also does not replace any client specific agreement, data processing agreement, research consent, or other contractual privacy term that applies to a particular engagement.

Our Role as Data Controller and Data Processor

Data Controller

Stella generally acts as a data controller for information collected through the Stella website, marketing activities, business development activities, and platform account administration. In those contexts, Stella determines the purposes and means of processing.

Data Processor

For research data, transcripts, reports, market intelligence, and other content submitted to the Stella platform by enterprise customers, Stella generally acts as a data processor or service provider on behalf of the customer. The enterprise customer determines the purposes for which that content is processed and remains responsible for its lawful collection and use.

If your personal information appears in content submitted by an enterprise customer, requests concerning that information should ordinarily be directed to the enterprise customer that provided the content.

Information We Collect

Website Visitors

When you visit stellainsights.ai, we may collect information such as the following.

  • IP address and approximate geographic location derived from the IP address
  • Browser type, device type, operating system, and similar technical information
  • Pages visited, time spent on the site, referring pages, and website interactions

Platform Users

How We Use Information

  • Conduct B2B marketing, account based marketing, and business development
  • Measure website traffic, engagement, and campaign performance

  • Detect fraud, misuse, security incidents, and unauthorized activity
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce our agreements

Stella Platform and AI Processing

Stella uses artificial intelligence to support synthesis, analysis, interpretation, and generation of insights from research and business content submitted by authorized enterprise users.

Stella may use AI services and models provided by OpenAI, Google Gemini, and Anthropic Claude as part of the platform. Client content and user queries may be processed by one or more of these providers when required to deliver the requested Stella functionality.

Client submitted content is processed to provide the services requested by the applicable enterprise customer and in accordance with the governing client agreement. Stella does not use client submitted research content to train general purpose AI models without the express authorization of the applicable enterprise customer.

Client data environments are logically isolated to reduce the risk of cross client data exposure. Stella is hosted using Amazon Web Services.

Stella is not intended for the processing of protected health information or directly identifying personal information. Enterprise customers are responsible for ensuring that content submitted to Stella is appropriately deidentified, authorized, and handled in accordance with applicable law, research requirements, and contractual obligations.

Third Party Services and Technology Providers

We use third party providers to support website operations, marketing, analytics, advertising, business development, hosting, and platform functionality. These providers may include HubSpot, ZoomInfo, Apollo, RB2B, Google Analytics, Google Ads, The Trade Desk, LinkedIn, Meta, OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, and Amazon Web Services.

Third party providers process information in accordance with their own privacy obligations and the contractual terms applicable to our relationship with them. Where required, we use data processing agreements or equivalent contractual protections.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies on stellainsights.ai to operate the website, understand site usage, measure marketing effectiveness, and support digital advertising.

Retention of client-submitted content is governed by applicable local, state, federal, and international requirements together with the terms of the applicable master services agreement, subscription agreement, data processing agreement, statement of work, or other client instruction. Content is deleted, returned, or otherwise handled in accordance with those requirements and agreements.

International Data Transfers

Stella Insights is based in the United States and uses service providers that may process information in the United States and other countries. If you are located outside the United States, your personal information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your home jurisdiction.

Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, which may include Standard Contractual Clauses or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms.
